How do we love all of the children of all species for all time?

A mantra for for the coming 12 21 2012 Mayan Calender end of days

I just finished listening to the William McDonough's Entrepreneurial Thought Leader Lecture at Stanford University from 10-15-2008. It's title is Balancing Economy, Equity, and Ecology Through Design. I have now listened to it at least a dozen times and still hear something amazing each time.  If ever there were a plan for the end of the world as we know it and a vision of what the world should be like after wards this would be my ideal future.  This mans insight is absolutely fascinating.  He is not a particularly fiery speaker, he is calm and relaxed but his ideas and thought will surely fire your imagination.

I have talked about my belief that the world won't be destroyed in 2012 by some dramatic cataclysm.  I think that we will be forced to change the way we think about and interact with our planet.  I hope that the change will be painless, but really doubt that there will be no suffering by the masses.  Great suffering is sometimes necessary to bring about great change.  I hope that you understand and are learning from me and other sources how to lessen this suffering and thrive during the coming period of great change.  If after the time of transformation, we emerge to a world with systems in place such as the ones Mr. McDonough envisions, then it all will be worth it.

I hope you will enjoy the audio as much as I have and please share your thoughts with us by leaving a comment.  The audio is 1h 7min 45sec long, so set aside some time to focus on it and hear what he has to say.

If this audio has intrigued you and you would like to find out more about Mr. McDonough's work you can pick up his book at Barnes and Noble through this link Cradle to Cradle

You may read more about William McDonough on his biography page at the Stanford University website
