The Long Road Back

I have been overwhelmed lately by the vast amount of information on the internet relating to the 2012 prophecies and predictions.  I am sure you have too!  I apologize for not posting as much as I had hoped but I got lost in the depths of the internet.  Most of the articles I am finding are basically rehashing of other articles and I guess I fell into the same trap of re-reporting news.  I took some time to think about this and with the help of my dear wife I came to the conclusion that I was doing you a disservice.  Again I am sorry.

If you want to find out about the various predictions and prophecies there are some good sites out there and I will be providing links for them as I find them.  My priorities though have not changed, I always wanted to bring you an upbeat and positive insight as to how we as individuals and as a collective can make the 2012 transition a huge step forward in human evolution. Penny and I are making our own plans and we would love to share them with you.  We are not in survival mode as many people are now.  I think that we can best describe our situation as a transition to a simplified, less complex way of life.

I know that many of you are scared and confused about the future.  I admit that I am too sometimes.  Not about some fiery asteroid striking the planet for example, but I am frightened by what we are becoming as a species in general. The lack of genuine concern for our fellow human beings.  The disdain and disgust we feel for "those people" we read about in the papers or see screwing up on tv or youtube.  We focus on these stories to give us a sense of moral superiority in a time when our own personal world is falling apart around us.  They give us comfort in a twisted way… we are not like "them".  You must realize though and accept the fact that we are like them.  We are human beings, prone to mistakes and bad judgment!  Indigenous to this planet with nowhere else to go.  This is our home and we must take care of it and all who live here with us.

First though, before we are able to reach out to the rest of the world, the goal should be to become the best possible you that you can become.  What have you done for yourself lately?  Not in a selfish or self centered way, but in growth and personal expansion way?  How have you prepared yourself not to be dependent on big government and large corporations for your daily existence?  Do you live only by the "grace" and "generosity" of someone else?  No wonder we are angry and hopeless.  We are are in fear that no one will come to SAVE US!  Take some control of your own life.

I have to admit that I too am extremely guilty of this and am struggling to break free of that dependence.  We all know that the food comes from the grocery store or the fast food restaurant down the street.  WRONG! Food comes from the sweet Earth below our feet and the generous sacrifice of our gentle animals.  Entertainment only comes from the tv and movie studios.  WRONG! Safety and security comes from a strong government and a sound economy.  WRONG Wrong wrong!  We have to learn to provide for ourselves, find joy in our own company, and strength in our ability to know whats best for us.  We can't depend on others and then blame them when we don't get the results we demand!  What spoiled children we have become.

Penny and I have; as said above, chosen to simplify and ease the complexity of our lives.  After many long hours, days and months we have created a plan that will ease us into this transition.  It is a flexible plan that can be accelerated or delayed depending on circumstances at the time (i.e. money, health, and other unforeseen changes).  The future posts will deal with these plans and our progress along the way.  If we find some new developments in the 2012 prophecy scene we will definitely bring them to you attention - knowledge is wisdom.
