Ten Rules for Being Human

I found this in my notepad file recently.  I had forgotten all about it, funny how certain things come to your attention when you need to hear them.  Penny and I just had to share this with you.  It stuck us as so important to your mindset in dealing with 2012 and prepping for a new life.  I hope that you find it as important as we do.  Enjoy and please leave a comment if you find it useful.

A Note from Penny…

I love how the universe delivers what you need when you need it.  In the middle of preparing for our newest series of Podcast2012 Dennis found this wonderful piece from a very bright author.  Though we have never met her, nor know anything about her, we can tell that she is very wise.  Even though I have heard these things said before I really like the way she worded them –its makes you think. Doing a podcast on these rules was fun and more than a bit revealing, be sure you take the time to listen to it.  Let us know what you think and tell us which is your favorite.  Thank you for sticking with us during our journey and have an awesome day!!!

Ten Rules for Being Human

by Cherie Carter-Scott

1.     You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it's yours to keep for the entire period.
2.     You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, "life."
3.     There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The "failed" experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately "work."
4.     Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.
5.     Learning lessons does not end. There's no part of life that doesn't contain its lessons. If you're alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned.
6.     "There" is no better a place than "here." When your "there" has become a "here", you will simply obtain another "there" that will again look better than "here."
7.     Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.
8.     What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.
9.     Your answers lie within you. The answers to life's questions lie within you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.
10.     You will forget all this.

Today was my day off from work and i spent most of the morning watching youtube videos on doomsday 2012. Watching them I felt lost and depressed, I thought about why should i even bother finishing colledge if the world is going to end, but most importantly i thought of my daughter and the fact she is only four years old and has her whole life in front of her. I really dont know how to take all of this, didnt God say that he would come like a theif in the night, I guess mabe I should start going back to church. How do you deal with depressing issues of this world?

Dennis and I were so touched by your post that we entitled two blog entries to it. You are not alone the uncertainty makes lots of people a little crazy. A new earth begins with a new thought and new thought starts with thinking. Stay grounded and focused, learn all you can. That is the only way you can weed through fact and fiction. How do we handle the depressing issues of this world? We break free. Enjoy every minute you're in school and hug your family often. If you need us we're here. Teaching you to prepare…Penny
